Our Own Bodies Part #1

In the media recently I have seen that the creators of Barbie have come out with a new line of dolls that are more true to what women in our society look like today. This new line of dolls has excited me so much. For Mattel to do this is a big leap, but I think it was well taken. Girls these days are so ashamed of how they look whether they are curvy, skinny, athletic, or what people call average. In my opinion this is not okay! All women and men should be proud of their bodies, but or not. This comes from what we see in society today. People are tearing each other down for how they look and that is not okay. I do not that believe anyone should have a say in how someone else looks. If you feel ashamed of your body because someone has told you to be I want you to stop and think. "What does their opinion matter, it is not their body." Feeling confident in my own skin is something that I struggled with in high school. I always wanted to look a Victorias Secret model, and eventually I realized that this was an unrealistic dream, and i am okay with that. I was blessed with body and I rock it! Now I am not saying that there is anything wrong with being smaller I just think people need to stop thinking that is the only way they can look beautiful. The people in this world need to stop judging each other. Whether it be how someone looks, there ethnicity, religion, or even how they walk there dog! Body shaming is such a powerful way to hurt someone. It can make them feel insignificant, and meaningless. If we can not feel confident the way we are then what do we do? The next time you think about judging anyone in the way the look just think "How would I feel if someone said, or did these things to me?" We also need to realize that we are all born into our bodies for a reason, and if we can't appreciate ourselves the way we are then how are we going to be taken seriously.

Things I get Excited about

So for those of you who do not me personally I have a thing for getting excited very easily. One thing that made me really happy, and excited recently was a ting of stamps. Yes, I just said stamps. However my friends these were not ordinary stamps they are a thing of Batman stamps. In this set of stamps the caped crusader is depicted from the four eras of comic book history. The bottom row is the Gold age, Third row is the Silver age, Row two the Bronze age, and the top row is the Modern age. Then on the side is a set of all the bat signals. One from each of the four era's. Also if you can not tell I am a huge BatMan fan, and when I got these stamps today from one of my bowlers I flipped out and was in a state of awe that someone who I thought did not know much about me would do this for me. It just shows me how well my bowlers actually know me, and how much they care about me. So hey I have a question for all those who read this. What is something that you get overly excited, or have gotten overly excited about it life. Email me or leave me, because I would love to hear from those who read my blog. Even if you have a question, or just something you want to know, or want me to write about let me know. Until next time Loves. Have a great night.!!

True Happiness

True happiness for most young girls is perceived as follows: Being Captain of thee cheerleading team in high school, beauty, dating the quarterback, being high school sweethearts, and getting married to said quarter back. I however have learned recently that quote true love is not the key to happiness. Yes the love of a man is a piece of the giant puzzle called life, but it is not the puzzle itself. In my opinion true happiness is feeling at home in your own skin, and in the world. This takes a lot of young women a long time, heck even a lifetime to understand. Our society makes young girls feel inferior for not measuring up to its standards. Most girls are now starving themselves, because from a young age it is put into our minds that if we don't have the beach ready body, perfectly blonde hair, tan skin, and blue eyes, then we are worth nothing. Now I am not saying there is nothing wrong with naturally looking this way. If you are born this way then more power to you, but if not do not stress over it. Not stressing over such silly things will help you in life. Being beautiful won't help you get good grades in school, in which you need to get the job of your dreams. So please think to your self, and say "Am I truly happy?". So until you get past societal standards, and until you start living for yourself you may not find your happiness, but if you have that is amazing! Now I am not trying to tell you how to live your life, I am just trying to shed a little light into life. Go forth and live out your dreams, and turn those I can't s into I can's!! As always I want you to remember that you are Loved, Blessed, Chosen, Adopted, Accepted, Redeemed, and Forgiven.

Being A Flourish Girl ♡♥♡♥

So in August started working at the well know Flourish Botique in Granger, and I have to say I love it. I had tried many times before this to get a job there, and when it finally happened I lost my mind. Flourish is such a great place, with amazing people to work with. I can proudly say that I think I have found my home when it comes to working. Now that the holiday season is upon us I know that I will be there more now, and I am super excited, although a bit intimidated at the same time. I have never worked on a black friday, at least at a place that it really effects.  So wish me luck on that. Along with the changing of the season comes new fashions, and some of my favorite things. Leggings, and Pikos! These tend to be a hot seller around Christmas time. Not to mention some awesome sweaters! Let's just say I love my job. Filled with tons of new faces, some that I already know, laughs, and love.In the last few months of being at Flourish I have grown into a new, and better me. I have learned that we all have our own style, and none of us should judge others on how they look. It is about being yourself and finding out what your style is all about. ;-)

Until Next time my lovelies ♡♥♡♥

Summer Reflection

Well friends my life has been pretty dull since I finished up my summer working at Camp Ray Bird. I must say I somewhat miss waking up at 6am everyday, and getting to be around these amazing kids whose lives I have influenced in some way. Being a camp counselor meant spending my days teaching inner city kids the word of the Lord and what he has planned for them, and about the value the have as a person. All in all it was a pretty enriching summer, because not only did I get an awesome tan, and great new friends, but I also got to learn things about my self that I didn't know, and I finally realized that I am meant to do something amazing in my life.  I have yet to figure that out yet, but I am going to. I just have remember that I am Loved, Blessed, Chosen, Adopted, Accepted, Redeemed, and Forgiven. ♡♥♡♥
